There are few books on Sri Hanuman temple. We had envisaged that it is time for us to bring out books on Sri Hanuman temples of Bharat and especially of Tamil Nadu. As a first verture we had brought out the detailed book which gives the entire details and history of the temples located in Thanjavur Town. The book is first of its kind in Tamil.

The detail history of the twenty six temples located in Thanjavur, discription of the deity Sri Anjaneya, and full details of how the temple got its name etc are vividly given in the book.

The book gives the details about all the Sri Samartha Ramdas swami mutt established by him in Thanjavur. This is the first time that the details about these mutts had been broughtout and the history of the saints who were nourishing the mutts in Tanjavur.

தஞ்சாவூர் அனுமார் கோயில்கள் | முதன் முறையாக இப்படி ஒரு புத்தகம் தாங்களுக்காகவே

வந்தனத்துக்குறிய அனுமாருக்கு [ஸ்ரீஹனுமாருக்கு] பல தனிக் கோயில்கள் பூசனையில் உள்ளன. அப்படி கட்டப்பட்ட கோயில்களின் சிறப்பினை முடிந்த அளவு மிகையில்லாமல் தொகுக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணமே இம்முயற்சி. ஸ்ரீஅனுமாருக்கென்று தனிக்கோயில்கள் தமிழ்நாட்டில் பல இடங்களில் இருந்தாலும் தஞ்சாவூரில் சற்று அதிகமெனில் மிகையாகாது. அவைகள் பழமை வாய்ந்ததாகவும் உள்ளதால் முக்கியத்வம் அடைகிறது. அதனால் தஞ்சாவூரில் உள்ள அனுமாரின் தனிக்கோயில்களை தொகுத்து அளிப்பதை முதலில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டோம்.

அனுமார் வித்தியாசமாக - வேகமாக - முன்னோக்கி சிந்திப்பவர். செயலில் வீரர். நினைத்த மாத்திரத்தில் சகலமும் அருளவல்லவர். அவரை தன் இஷ்ட தெய்வமாகக் கெண்டாடுபவர்கள் இன்று அதிகமாக உள்ளனர். அனுமாருக்கு என்று தனிக் கோயில்கள் இன்று அதிகம் காணப்படுகின்றன. தமிழகத்தில் பல இடங்களில் புதிதாகக் கட்டப்படும் கோயில்களில் அதிகமாக காணப்படுவது ஸ்ரீஅனுமார் கோயில்களே. அனுமாரிடம் காணப்படும் ஆச்சரியப் படும்படியான பல திறமைகளினால் மக்கள் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளதை இது காட்டுகிறது.

தலபுராணங்கள் என்று தனியாக தஞ்சாவூரில் உள்ள அனுமார் கோயில்களுக்கு இருப்பதாக தெரியவில்லை. அனுமார் கோயில்களைப் பற்றி தனிப்புத்தகங்கள் மிகவும் சிலவே. இப்புத்தகம் இந்நோக்கில் எங்களின் கன்னி முயற்சி என்பதில் பெருமையே.

தஞ்சாவூரில் ஸ்ரீ சமர்த்த ராமதாஸ் சுவாமி அவர்கள் நிறுவிய அனைத்து மடம் பற்றிய விவரங்களை இந்த புத்தகம் தருகிறது. இந்த மடங்களைப் பற்றிய விவரங்கள் வெளிவருவது இது முதல் தடவையாகும், மேலும் தஞ்சாவூரில் மடங்களின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு காரணமான புனிதர்களின் விவரங்களும் தரப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இதனால் நாங்கள் அரு முயற்சி செய்து "தஞ்சாவூர் அனுமார் கோயில்கள்" என்னும் புத்தகத்தை வெளியிட்டுள்ளோம்.
